To Whoever Wants to Buy ASND,

Tomorrow will not be a good day to buy ASND. It may stay above $30 for the next several days. But we should be able to see it back to $25 - $28 range again once this initial enthusiasm dies down in a couple weeks. You may then get it at much better price. One thing is certain, though, that this time the buyout is for real. It's just that ASND wants too much at this point. I live very close to Cascade, and have several friends working there. After ASND/CSCC deal, every single Cascade employee has been blaming the old Cascade management that they sold CSCC too cheap too soon. They say that if CSCC is still independant, now it would be worth more than $40 again. This time another opportunity knocks at the door, especially LU comes after CSCC, I'm sure that Cascade people is holding strong pressure to the ASND management. They will try to get the best price possible to at least back to break even (every CSCC share worths 0.7 ASND share and has lost 40% since the ASND buyout). But the bottom line is, they want to sell themselves. If eventually nobody wants to pay $40, they will have to take $35, or else they will be back to $22.

So be patient. I don't see there is an imminent deal coming. This thing may drag at least couple more months, perhaps as much as 6 - 8 months before LU's stock can be used in the deal. In the meantime, you will have chance to get in in high 20s again.

Good luck!

Dear M carter,

If you want my 2 cents, hear is my take on ASND tommorrow. I have followed that stock over 14 months and my gut instinct tells me the following (please note: GUT INSTINCT):

ASND opens delayed

CNBC mainly Joe Kernan a favorite lover/hater of ASND stock reiterates the rumor garbage we have heard all night tonight. Typically, this spurs small time speculation. If you watch CNBC enough you know that when Kernan says a stock may be in play, the stock jumps. Plenty of retirees' in FL sitting on thier nest eggs day trading looking to pick up 3 to 5 points. Traders who shorted panic and start covering thier positions like crazy.

Stock opens 10 a.m. @ 29 - 31, climbs to approx. 34 and waits on new news. If NT or LU plan to play, this is when we should find out. If NT or LU play then the stock climbs to close at 38-39 (on the target number of $40) as indicated in the companys demand price on the rejection statement of the $35 offer.

My gut tells me this stock plays and plays well. It is well overdue, and with the jobless numbers out tommorrow, I expect a big day on Wall Street, possibly a 175 - 200 point Dow up and 40 - 50 Nasdaq up.

If I'm right, I'm a genius, if I'm wrong I am a goat. Either way ASND goes up WE MAKE MONEY.

Good Luck,

Jamie
