So much discussion about what Intel CEO and IR shoudl be doing. Is any of this helping us decide on Buy-Sell-Hold decisions??

Stockman:

There is much to what you say, but it is a bit beside the points I was raising. Concerning marketing, I do not believe, and I am sure that my friends in marketing do not believe, that impressions are subjective. What they believe is that they are managed, and there are lots of studies in support of that. Intel has only recently started marketing its logo aggressively and quite well, imo. In terms of the context of our disucssion however, I do not see them selling the image of their company to investors. Behind the scenes they may be working with the institutions and analysts, but why have I seen more of Dell on TV than any representative of Intel? I am only one person and my perception of this may be wrong. Look at the people you see a lot of on TV. Take Cramer for instance. Granted he is a maniac, but he pops up everywhere. I cannot believe that if Intel wanted their people on the talk shows that they would not have them. Any way, this is all only one person's opinion and a little bit outside the context of my earlier comments. I would like to know what Hull has to say.
