Same with inperson voter fraud. There are stories of it being widespread but there is no proof. There have been a small handfull, like a dozen over the span of years and hundreds of elections and even then I don't thinks there was a single attempt of someone using a falsified registration to vote. If it was as pervasive as the Right wants to claim, lots of people would be involved over the years. And someone would have talked. They haven't.

The right is so obsessed with this issue and so uninformed, they just authorized the banning of funding to ACORN even though ACORN has been dead for a few years:

After the sequester cut teaching jobs, Head Start spots, senior food programs, and access to nutrition assistance for over half a million women and their families, the GOP revealed its brand new short-term budget bill for 2013. Buried on page 221 is a curious clause banning federal funding to ACORN, an anti-poverty group.

The clause reads, "None of the funds made available in this Act may be distributed to the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) or its subsidiaries or successors."

But ACORN is long dead. Republican and Right Wing activists helped kill it in 2009 by smearing it with a falsely edited video and stampeding the Democrats into a bill that stripped ACORN of all federal funds.

They really are very small people in so many ways.

Let's not kid ourselves...the goal is to disenfranchise voters (of the dem variety) than deter fraudsters...republican officials are on record saying as much....if Ten doesn't admit to it than he is FOS.
