Let's not kid ourselves...the goal is to disenfranchise voters (of the non leftwing variety) than deter fraudsters...democrat officials are on record saying as much.

That's an absolutely cynical view.

You should keep in mind that a lot of rational people think it is utterly insane to not require some significant basic fraud prevention of voters.

It could be that we just think it is ridiculous to not protect something so precious as voting rights.

It could be there is a legitimate difference of opinion.

Yet, you, out of blue, assume those in favor of protecting the right to vote are trying to cheat others out of their rights.

You don't just leave gaping holes that those who do wish to beat the system can drive a truck through. That's just being stupid. We do know there have been abuses.

Al,
Let's not kid ourselves...the goal is to disenfranchise voters (of the dem variety) than deter fraudsters...republican officials are on record saying as much....if Ten doesn't admit to it than he is FOS.
There is no "disenfranchisement" when the voters were never legal to begin with.

If legal voters can't get to the ballot box, or they have to prove their legality beyond reasonable means, then that becomes an issue.

But there's nothing unreasonable about having to show ID before voting or registering to vote. What is unreasonable are those who oppose it by playing the race card.
