4/19/13 Contest Update Back late this afternoon from a short trip with my wife to Mendocino. Surrounded by astounding natural beauty, the news updates from Boston seemed even more surreal. A sad week. At Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 21.39% YTD (vs. up 21.33% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 25.86% (vs. up 23.34% YTD a week ago) and the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 6.18% YTD (vs. up 9.12% YTD a week ago). Boosted by the CPRX surge, RKRW’s portfolio, up 63.77% YTD, jumped back into the Contest lead. BLADE’s portfolio, up 56.00% YTD, fell to second place with FILO’s portfolio, up 48.23% YTD, now in third place. At Friday's close, 37 of the 39 Contest portfolios remained in the black with 16 of the 39 beating the NBI. Below is the Top Ten list.
