Compaq ? I live in Houston, Texas. Just talk to a friend who worked at Compaq tonight. He mentioned that about 2 weeks ago, a team of Compaq people including finance went to Alameda, California to visit Ascend. With Compaq recent buy out of Microcom. Can Compaq become a suitor in this bidding ? Hmm.

This rumor has to be old as around October when it first started. That's where we get the $35 per share LU offer price which is the range of where ASND was trading at the time. If it were true, why wouldn't LU go for a buyout last month when they had ample opportunity to buy it less than $25?
