Show me any historical record he actually existed that wasn't written by a Christian. If he was raising the dead, walking on water and feeding the multitudes, someone would have written about it. It isn't like the Roman Empire was pre-literate you know. So if he existed, he wasn't working all of the miracles that are claimed. His putative life story is way to close to Mithra to be true, either. Take all of that away and, yes that Jesus never existed. Was there a rabbi by the name of Jesus of Nazareth some 2000 years ago? Wouldn't surprise me. But he was very different from what is described in the Bible.
