The big second guess on law enforcement; should they have released those pictures? It probably would have taken a couple more days to find the guys with a lot of grunt police work, and maybe they would have committed more violence. But releasing the pictures led to two deaths, and the complete shutdown of Boston. Even if the press or public doesn't question it, I'm sure law enforcement authorities will review the way it was handled. Yeah they caught the guys fast, but they released a lot of chaos and death, and it could have been much worse. They have hinted at the belief that these guys were planning more bombings; that they were not done. That may be the reason why they released the photos. I want to know why the suspects let go free the guy they carjacked. Not only did they let him go but they bragged they were the bombers.

RW we all live right on the edge of either insanity or mindlessness or brutality. Psychosis and magical thinking is very common. It is the human condition. The kindest person in the world can become a monster overnight through psychosis. And kids can make really dumb decisions just becasue they can't think. And we love violence. Look at how we like ultimate fighting and football. We must organize society understanding the true human condition e.g. why the death penalty is nuts. HUmans have been very brutal and insensitive forever. Just look at the brutality of history. And god can we be stupid. We let segregation fester until the 1960's? How is that possible. Women couldn't vote until 1919. How is that possible? it is all interrelated to our being less intelligent and more crazy than we understand. ALL of us! Was our going into Viet nam or Iraq and killing hundreds of thousands of people so much different from what these kids did? Or our drone strikes now? We know we are killing innocent people doing that.
