Absolutely, there's a world of difference between making concessions on Mexican immigration and Sharia Law. The first is not without danger though and of course, overloading the welfare system is a serious concern.

I have no problem with Latinos but muslim beliefs and behaviors are fundamentally incompatible with our constitution and way of life.

- Illegal Immigration is not defined in the Constitution.
- Discrimination on religious beliefs is defined in the Constitution.

Today, the GOP (Rubio et al) seeks the vote bank by pandering to illegal immigrants.

What makes one sure that a similar vote bank from a religious group will not result in the same ?

Recent elections have shown that the Prez wins his place with perhaps 52/48 margin. All one needs is a 4% swing based on religion.
