All a rational person has to do in order to recognize what this president is all about on the domestic front is ask a simple question (answered at your link): 'Why would the administration spend money, and manpower, recruiting people to sign up for food stamps (and S. S. disability, and the like)?'

The answer isn't that he is a humanitarian who genuinely cares for his less fortunate countrymen. People who are in need will find their way onto the welfare rolls, or sign up for food stamps, or recognize that they are genuinely unable to work and eligible to receive S. S. disability.

This president has not only lowered the requirements for all of those entitlements, but he is actively attempting to sign millions more onto the rolls.

Why? Because the more people who are dependent on government largesse, the broader the voting base for those whose main priority it is to provide it. And, the more people who are dependent on government largesse, the greater the power the government has to dictate to them (and all other citizens) how they should run their lives.

The number of people on entitlements now is tantamount to ensuring the election of leftists into the foreseeable future. And, since so many are dependent on the government/taxpayer dole, they must march in lock-step in order to keep the faucet running, forcing all of us to kowtow to massive government interference in our lives.

This president has either initiated, or accomplished, virtually everything necessary to reduce a superpower to an energy-dependent, fiscally irresponsible, victim-oriented society ... and, worst of all, a nation that sits in the cross-hairs of its mortal enemies, with no one in the administration giving a damn.

Society will develop a new kind of servitude which covers the surface of society with a network of complicated rules, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate. It does not tyrannise but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd ...
