Two good games against the Mets as we scored some runs and didn't give up very many. Kendrick was solid Friday night and the "new kid" got his first "W", pitching a very respectable game today. Good hitting lately. Now if Hamels could get his first win tomorrow, we could get ahead of the "fast out of the gate, but suddenly fading" Mets for third place. The Braves are helping by hitting a wall in Detroit, but the Nats are handling Cincy so far. All in good time. Loads of games left but I'm optimistic about our chances for steady improvement. If we can keep hitting, maybe we can override a less than stellar bullpen until that gels.
