Well, funny that you should say this. I personally lean towards Dem, as tests etc. prove. However, I deal with facts. And the "scientific community" you refer to probably includes me as well, as that is what my job is classified as in real life. Tell you what....read some of my posts on immigration and then tell me that I am posting pure right. I believe in evolution-it is an obvious fact and proven. "Faith" can not simply create anything, other than the occasional migraine. I believe in global warming, however the part that Humans play in it is minuscule. Ask any climatologist (not a nuclear physicist or geologist...they know nothing of climatology) and they will tell you that a great part of the climate change is due to the normal cycle of the sun. news.nationalgeographic.com science.nasa.gov As you can see there, the polar ice caps on Mars are melting also. In order for our lack of environmental stewardship to affect those, it would have to be-well-unbelievable, don't you agree? This does not mean that mankind is not responsible for a portion of this problem. And for our children's future, we should be good stewards of our environment and try to leave the planet cleaner than it was when we came for their health and well-being However, the involvement of humans in global warming is nothing like the Left Nuts would have everyone believe. These are simply facts, with proof provided. Your opinion that I am posting pure right-wing stuff comes from the standard "if it isn't left-wing it must be pure right-wing" mentality. In fact, many of my views are left wing. Like the right of gay couple to enjoy the same benefits as everyone else, including marriage. Everyone should have access to affordable healthcare-but the current Obamacare does not accomplish this. Then why do 51% of scientists call themselves liberal and 80% lean dem while only 6% lean pub.Scientist deal in facts. That is their stock and trade. Scientists are not pubs because they deal in facts and know pubs do not.One good example is evolution. Over 50% of pubs do not beleive in it while virtually all libs do.Global warming, most conservaitve pubs do not beleive in it and almost all liberals do.Those are facts; and you are posting pretty pure right wing stuff again, not center. If you were dealing with "Facts", you would know that you are using faulty logic. First, your 51%/80% number is from a group that already self selects for liberal members. It is actually part of their charter. Second, the only qualification to be listed as a "scientist" is to claim to be one. The poll also excludes medical doctors who are undeniably scientists. And finally, even if the 51% number was true, there is no transitive property that would suggest that other liberals have the same qualities that those scientists have. So, while you claim to deal with facts, you have used faulty logic based on specious information.
