You didn't provide proof, here you go. snap-step1.usda.gov There you will see that it is required to have a government ID and Social Security number to apply for food stamps. That is proof from the United States Government..."plenty of proof out there" for you is just looking at other blogs as "proof". Clearly, since an illegal alien can NOT get a government ID nor have a Social Security Number, they can NOT apply for food stamps. Nor are they eligible for welfare of any type for the same reasons.

"Note: If you meet all of the program guidelines except for the citizenship requirement, you may still get help from this program. However, you may have to satisfy additional program rules before you can get the benefit."

Game, set, match

They came here because they had no choice...it was either that or they were going to be kidnapped or killed for being successful, along with their children.

Incorrect, they could choose to go to Mexico city, or Colombia, or Cuba, or Argentina, or England or Australia....they had a choice to go many places. They didn't have to come here. They could choose to work to change things in their own country.

If they have children, claiming them as dependents is "cheating"? Why is that so?

Illegal aliens shouldn't be able to claim any dependents. In fact, they shouldn't be here. But, more importantly, they should not be able to claim out of country dependents for the same reason two people cannot file two different tax returns claiming the same dependent. If the dependents are located out of the country and are not citizens of the U.S., then there is no way to verify that they are not being claimed as dependents in their resident country. And then when they start claiming nieces and nephews..well, it's ridiculous.

In one sentence you say "bullshit on not caring", and in the next breath actually say that you do not care, that it is not our problem.

You have misrepresented my words.

And your "proof" of terrorists entering the US is two cases...in over 10 years. Not exactly huge news, as that many per month are probably getting in here on student visas. Go to Dearborn, Michigan some time. (Visit the Ford Museum while you are there...great place!) This is the same place where they were dancing in the streets after 9/11. All of them are here legally.

You asked for one example of proof. I gave you two. If you wanted more, you should have asked for more. In the past ten years there has been over 30,000 illegals from hostile countries in the middle east and africa who were intercepted on the southern border. There were another 41,000 from Cuba. I'm not going to do your homework for you though. The information is out there. You have two links that refute your claim. So the onus is on you to figure the rest out.

How kind of you to help your maid. Or did you do that so you could keep cheap, hardworking help? Was it motivated by goodness of your own heart, or was the true motivation to help yourself? Just asking here, for all I know you may be encouraging her to go to college-but probably not. And are you saying that all Hispanics are good for is unskilled domestic help? Landscapers and maids? How does this differ from giving black sharecroppers the privileged of living and working on your land, as long as they minded their place in society?
Actually, we stopped needing her help a good 5 years ago. But she is family now and she has two young children and it helps her. We actually did recommend that she go to school and my wife offered to get her a job at one of the movie studios after she got her citizenship. But she likes the flexibility of her current job. My best friend/best man at my wedding is mexican. He makes quite a bit more money than I do. He's quite skilled. Your attempts to paint me as a racist are pathetic.

Actually, if you do your research you will find that the list of 5 "gateway" states only has 2 on the southern border.

California, Arizona and Texas all have a great deal of illegals flowing through them.

Two are actually in the north by Canada, and one only has the Atlantic Ocean around it.

There is no significant flow of canadians into the U.S.. Florida certainly has its fair share of Cubans flowing into it.

And the failed economic system is one that the US government is also responsible for.

When the flow of Americans emigrating to Mexico is greater than the flow of hispanics coming to the U.S., this will be meaningful.

And the following shows that is IS our problem...since we created it and are fueling it:

"The Central Intelligence Agency was intimately involved with the federal government’s infamous “Operation Fast and Furious” scheme to send American weapons to Mexican drug cartels while simultaneously working with other agencies allowing narcotics to be shipped over the border, according to a series of explosive reports.

We agree on this one. Thousands of Mexicans will end up dead because of this misguided (criminal) program.

holder says it's a 'right' to come to this country, even illegally.

is it a 'right' not to pay your taxes ?

is it a 'right' to go to a redskins game even if you don't have a ticket ?
