Steve,
Re -- I'm having the same trouble with IE4.0 and my dells.
so, go back to sleep...IE4.0 is a walking timebomb.

no one is argueing the non std. component issue, but we were talking about IE4.0 and presarios...

You have no idea what you are talking about. Its evident from your posts.

Go flip options, thats what you do best. And leave the fundamental stuff to people who know about it.

I.E 4.0 may be buggy. But, the fixed version, is not some SPECIAL version generated by Compaq.

Remember CPQ needs to spend engineering resources to maintain a different vein.

You should post the nature of the problems that are occurring on DELL's, IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

Hi Steve:
I am a hardware engineer.( I said that before too )
Now as a hardware engineer, if OS works, 99 or so other programs work fine and then comes along IE 4.0 and that does not work, then some one says "CPQ by using NON-STANDARD HARDWARE..is causing that child a lot of pain.", I wonder who that child is.
Can you help?
Thanks.
Regards,
Satish
