5/10/13 Contest Update The Bulls ruled Wall Street for yet another week, with biotechs and the broad market continuing to forge ahead. Where are those Bears? Should we look for them in Cleveland? At Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 21.70% YTD (vs. up 21.02% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 31.24% (vs. up 28.88% YTD a week ago) and the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 13.81% YTD (vs. up 11.89% YTD a week ago). RKRW’s portfolio, up 55.72% YTD, lost a couple of percent for the week, but still managed to hold the Contest lead. Second place BLADE’s portfolio, up 55.01% YTD, is now just a tad behind, with MCBIO’s portfolio, up 43.31% YTD, taking over third place. At Friday's close, 38 of the 39 Contest portfolios were in the black with only 9 of the 39 beating the NBI. Below is the Top Ten list. Also below are the Top 5 & Bottom 5 Stocks ranked by % Gained and % Lost for the week.
