The plantation model was dying by the time of the Civil War. Granted, with no interference from the North it would have been slower, but the handwriting was on the wall by mid-century. No way it could have survived industrialization and the opening of the West. The Civil War likely extended the life of many of the plantations because it forced the changeover to a sharecropper one earlier than otherwise. And a lot of those plantations might have gone bankrupt trying to cling to the old ways.

Given her support of Koresh the child rapist, it shouldn't be a surprise that she is also coming out pro-slavery.

Interesting how flexible their morals are when their politics are involved.
