Cowboy, We should start a contest to find a brokerage house that does NOT recomment AOL. This frenzy of buy recommendations, in the face of AOL's fundamentals and prospects, seems to me downright irresponsible. On the other hand, brokerages are notorious for after-the-fact recommendations. Once they're all bullish, what's left?
Best,
Steve

Where were they when it was @ 22?

Here's another "announcement":
biz.yahoo.com

Back in my younger days I used to manage a bookstore/newsstand. Getting enough copies of Business Week was near impossible, as they sold their advertisers a very exclusive set of demographics and didn't want to encourage the great unwashed to buy their magazine and dilute their image. How things change....

I think the plan is to keep AOL afloat for the next 4 weeks until past
Jan 1. That way when the institutions sell they won't have to pay
Uncle Sam for another year. They have huge capital gains therefore
have a huge incentive to inflate this stock a little longer. You've
heard of tax selling? This is the reverse.

Cowboy Brett

FWIW I hate AOL and its stock is disgustingly overvalued but idiotic markets call for idiotic measures and I was long until a moment ago...wanted 3 points but I'll take 4!
