Medicare Part D was Shrub's giveaway to the pharmaceutical corporations, guaranteeing the Medicare, unlike every other countries health care system, would overpay for drugs by not negotiating prices.

Medicare Part D passed the Senate with a strong bipartisan vote 76-21.

I was responding to one less who claims that progressives prefer "free health care for every US citizen" ... the obvious is of course is that it was bush proposed, passed, senate and congress both in the hands of "conservatives" who are not supposed to be in favor of such liberal ideas....speaking of which, why do you speak in such surprised terms that dems would vote for this? Duh! What's hypocritical about that. Dems favor social programs....only in the past they've at lest tried to pay for them. These so called conservatives never even tried.
