There is one ideology trying to conserve the status quo. Maybe you want solar cells over tanks, but not one elected member of your party would. LOTS of elected Democrats would do it in a minute.

I did not for one second say that government can accomplish "anything." But it is a good example of the government making a major advance. Your denial that it can is just factually incorrect. Is private enterprise really going to deliver mail to rural areas? Is private enterprise going to rebuild the sewage systems or highways? Not really. But they will take advantage if the government does that.
