Not ignoring It . Don't get me wrong, I think this was the wrong move. Because the data is out there and the press so far is going to mean that low information voters are going to buy 3d printers, which is a good thing, print up some of these things and start winding up in ER maimed or poisoned. Maybe both.

As tempting as it would be to engage in some schadenfreude, that would be wrong. Because sooner or later someone will realize that 3d printers are not the way to go and CNC milling is. Some googling will turn up designs for all of Those WWII weapons that were designed to be built with minimum tooling and...

Things like the FP-45 Liberator, the Deer gun, the Sten gun and many others can easily be made in a garage with a few thousand dollars worth of equipment. Less if you are clever.
