I am pretty sure that you missed the point that the guy who came up with the 3D Printer gun design was trying to make.

Nobody actually wants to use 3D printers to make guns. But if the 2nd amendment is eventually rendered moot by the anti-gun crowd and guns end up banned, guns will still be on the street. They are too easy to make to effectively ban. You should check out the video on how to make a gun out of a shovel.

So who will end up with guns in the event that liberals get there way? Criminals and Government. And that may seem ok with you right now...afterall, the government will protect you right?* But if history has anything to say about it, the pendulum is going to swing to the right in the next political cycle and it will be the far right wing nutcases in power. And they will have the guns....and you won't. Do you trust the rightwing nutcases enough to not have a way to fight against their tyranny?

*Anybody who lived in Los Angeles during the riots should remember that the police waited outside of hot zones instead of protecting the people. They stayed nice and safe while people were being killed. the police aren't there to protect you, they are there to clean up the mess after it happens.

Not ignoring It . Don't get me wrong, I think this was the wrong move. Because the data is out there and the press so far is going to mean that low information voters are going to buy 3d printers, which is a good thing, print up some of these things and start winding up in ER maimed or poisoned. Maybe both.

You raise a good point............can we sponsor 3d printer parties where low information voters are encouraged to come and make a gun?

In other news, what do you think of the first responder in West who was found with a pipe bomb? I have to tell you that when I first saw the dude talking with the media I thought he was a bit strange. I had never seen an emergency work who was such a chatty cathy.........A. Cooper had to nearly hit him over the head to get him to stop talking. And now this.........a pipe bomb. I hope there is no connection between his pipe bombing and that explosion at the plant. And what is with all the pipe bomb making these days?

Finally, a cicada question..........I thought when I was doing business in Houston what I heard every day when I was there was the sound of cicadas. I went back and forth to Houston to LA for about 4 years. I remember hearing what I thought were cicadas every time I was there. Now I read cicadas only come up from their burrows periodically. So was I hearing some other insect or does TX have cicadas that stay above ground 24/7? Do you know?
