The effort to reform education and reestablish real accountability is getting more difficult Marva Collins made quite a temporary splash back in the '70's with astonishing results teaching truly deprived children in the Chicago ghetto. That was a big "so what?" Great teachers are subsumed in The Blob rather than rewarded and copied. Maybe the likes of Ben Chavis, Michelle Rhee, Salman Khan, et al, are finally beginning to make a dent. More parents need to be aware and pissed! Stealing a line that Stossel recently revived, the way to fix the educational establishment is the same way you fix a cat. Great if that happened by noon Tuesday.
