I am sorry...I think that came out a lot meaner than I meant it...but yes I do agree..however...3com is a moajor partner and a vondor in that project and $50 is one phase...wehn you convert netowrks of that size you usually do not do it in one big bang...you build start buliding a parallel network inteconnect it to the old, and start moving in to the new network peace by peace...

Still Learning -

The Deutsche Bank deal is for 1600 CoreBuilder 7000 ATM switches and a couple hundred NetBuilder II routers. No modems involved. I believe this is the largest ATM enterprise network in the world to date.

Yes, COMS sells modems, and they make NICs, but the enterprise market is where the high margins lie (that's how CSCO got rich). In this space COMS has moved past Ctron and Bay, and can now compete with CSCO effectively. Rembember, to date, CSCO has had the lion's share in this market, so there really is only one way for COMS to go - and that is to continue to trend up. The new product onslaught is the finest in the enterprise market, so COMS position should only be assisted.
