If you cannot grasp the difference between the duties and station of the Secret Service and the duties and station of the U.S. Marine Corps, then I figure trying to illustrate that for you is all but hopeless.

Marines were not trained to be menial servants; nor are they charged to be the president's protectors. Their duty is to the Constitution, and the country in general ... to protect both against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Raindrops falling on the president's head are not covered under their oath of service.

I remember the Clintons used to have Marines serving the meals at their White House dinners. That kind of use of our proud Marines was, and is, a disgrace. And I challenge you to find a record, or a picture, of any conservative using the U.S. Marines in such a degrading manner.
