A Marine's duty is to the chain of command, which ends with the Commander 'n Chief.

As you can see, by this salute. Marines know their duty, and who deserves it.

It's very rare but I can find accounts of a man holding an umbrella/parasol over the head of another man while the holder himself stands subject to the elements. Such records are usually inserted along with brutal tales of how slaves were treated in antiquity. That picture of some poor guy running up behind him on the Airplane ramp with an umbrella is pathetic too. Why can't Obama hold an Umbrella? And when he is caught out in the open without a free hand to hold it can't the white house afford a larger umbrella or an umbrella stand?

It's nice to honor a president but I see no honor in this.

If you cannot grasp the difference between the duties and station of the Secret Service and the duties and station of the U.S. Marine Corps, then I figure trying to illustrate that for you is all but hopeless.

No I can't. Its just silly nonsense that you are making up to promote your ideological whimsies.

Marines were not trained to be menial servants; nor are they charged to be the president's protectors. Their duty is to the Constitution, and the country in general ... to protect both against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Raindrops falling on the president's head are not covered under their oath of service.

Marines are trained to serve the president who is their Commander in Chief. EOS.

I remember the Clintons used to have Marines serving the meals at their White House dinners. That kind of use of our proud Marines was, and is, a disgrace. And I challenge you to find a record, or a picture, of any conservative using the U.S. Marines in such a degrading manner.

Serving a president is degrading??? Really. You are disturbed. Seek help.
