APM 10,527,746 shares short (44.03% ratio) on a 12/05/97 report----
I guess for the 15th of last month. with a closing price of 14 13/16 (-7/16). [Today, 14 15/16, +1/8] The befuddling thing to me is it shows a 3.6 p.e. I know that there are dire predictions in future earnings. But, do people think, to the tune of 10,527,746 shares, that there is further downside in this stock.

Can anyone explain the significance of it still being short this
many shares when it was short near that amount when the stock
went up to 37 a couple of months ago after sitting around 33.
Those people bet correctly, if I understand shorts. Are they
still there,or is there is a new group sitting with ten million
plus shares?

When some of the stocks go real low, posters sometimes think that
they are their bottom. Do the owners of 44% of APM shares think
differently?

It's too bad everyone can't win Rudy's great tabulations.
