TRUE FOOD... Well if you look with eyes that see you'll see me there enjoying one of the many great meals and yummy desserts in Newport Beach CA..

However I prefer to just drink the Maple Syrup from the bottle. SMILE

Interesting, maybe, but I have a very different experience with agave, unless I'm very mistaken... after using agave instead of sugar, my blood pressure is normal, my diabetes is completely gone, and my cholesterol has dropped in half... my doctor took me off ALL my meds, my diabetic medications, my cholesterol has dropped from 277 down to 134, and I also no longer take any high blood pressure meds... I'm completely med free thanks largely to replacing sugar with agave along with a few other dietary changes...

My doctor has a double medical specialty, e.g., family medicine and sports medicine...

As it turns out, agave has a higher fructose content than any other common sweetener, more even than high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). Because of its reputation as a "natural" sweetener, it is now widely used in products claiming to be good for health – from teas to nutrition bars and energy drinks.
Agave also has a sweet taste which triggers a “cephalic response”, producing excess insulin, which can eventually lead to Insulin Resistance, a plight that at least 50% of our public has in one form or another!

That is a major problem with artificial sweeteners and agave. Because of the sweet taste, the body prepares itself to handle the carbs coming down the gut, and produces Insulin, but then, surprise, surprise, NO CARBS to convert to cell energy. All that excess insulin is stuck in the blood stream.

I now use maple syrup instead of agave...

I agree... maple syrup has a lower fructose content and contains an abundant complexity of trace minerals

When I do use small amounts of sugar in baking or cooking I always use Organic sugar

The other important ingredient is salt.

I only use sea salt that is naturally dried or mined… like Himalayan sea salt

Thanks for your input.
