If Govt is the provider of money, then things like Halliburton will arise. And then you have the Govt bureaucracy, bribery etc. etc. But if say Apple were to bring their money in and the Govt audited them because of a agreement, then Apple will use their money well. because they know how to best use a sum of money. koan. it is not worthwhile discussing this with you because you have always worked for Govt and probably do not know what it is to get fired for non performance. and to hide your inability to discuss this issue you very quickly divert to political rhetoric and religiously break into the left wing chant of "plutocrats" etc. etc Besides, I have lived Socialism as well as Communism in my college years. We debated Marxism, Leninism and Maoism. And we also exploited labor through heir unions, using them as tools to fight the ruling party in power. I see the same thing happening here where labor unions are more aligned with one political. As for you, you have just watched politics from the lap of luxury, reading books (by your your admission you are an academic) and have formed your opinions. Your left wingism is a rich man's left wingism. Since I have seen both extremes of the politician extremism (in communist terms the proletariat and the bourgeoisie), I am convinced through my battle scars that socialism is the best solution in this evolutionary years of human history. I don't constantly label people politically as you do. There is no crony capitalism, plutocrats etc. etc. in my dictionary. I don't think I would want to get into a discussion on "dialectical materialism" etc. etc.
