Actually, that was never the point of the discussion between you and Ryan. It was about Google doing a better job monetizing mobile users.
Okay, if that is the case, now we have to include hardware?

If you are comparing all of Google's monetizing of mobile users to Apple's iAd only? What kind of comparison is that?

Let's get a like to like comparison of some sort. The data I posted was for Android vs. iOS.

It does make sense that Google makes a lot through search and such which is across platforms and I have made the point in the past that Apple is probably more important to Google than the other way around because of this:

Incidentally, Google has said it makes more money from search from iOS than from Android.

Google lost their prime spot on Maps. They fiddled with Youtube. Now, what if Apple simply changes the default browser from Google to Yahoo?

Ryan says:

iOS users surf more, spend more, to such a notable degree that they more than make up for their lesser numbers in terms of market share.
So, it looks to me like we were talking about iOS vs. Android and how iOS was more profitable than Android even with a smaller market share which was my point to begin with.

Or, it could also be that Ryan's comments were so irrelevant that I was responding to the wrong thing?
