Hi Brian, I think it's clear to anyone with half a brain that CHIP is full of buffalo chips and knows nothing about TA. It's also quite clear from his own postings that he is a compulsive liar. Actually, kind of sad and pathetic. Back to the real story, CREAF. I got my January 6 edition of PC Magazine in the mail today. It has a feature article on PC sound. They review both sound cards and speakers. The following boards were reviewed.Sound Blaster AWE64 GOld (Creative Labs) Monster Sound (Diamond Multmedia) Ensoniq AudioPCI Malibu Surround (Turtle Beach) The only Editors' Choice award went to....you guessed it...Creative Labs. It will be interesting to see what they say about the new Creative sound board once they have a chance to review it. The following speakers were also reviewed. Yamaha System 25 Labtec LCS 1022 Panasonic EAB-MPC250Altec Lansing ACS48 Advent Powered Partners AV190 Boston Acoustics MicroMedia Bose AcoustiMass Boston's Media Theatre Cambridge SoundWorks MicroWorks Yamaha System 45 Bose MediaMate Yamaha System 35Cambridge's SoundWorks Sony SRS-PC71 Acoustic Research AR-2103 Cambridges's PC Works They gave two Editors' Choice awards for speakers, Cambridge SoundWorks (by Creative Labs) and Altec Lansing ACS48. As for other current stocks, I still like TLC. I continue to hold it even though I bought it at 9 and it's 18. I see low to mid 20's in 6 months and really like the way the company has progressed and turned its business around. They stand to prosper from recent acquisitions and cheap PC's. As always I remain invested in INTC as a long term core position. I am very very happy to have never sold a single share of INTC. I recently took a position in PTEK (at 25) which has been beaten down considerably lately. I am looking for a recovery into the low to mid 30's and if that happens I'll see how things look from there. I am looking at ORCTF as a speculative xDSL play. They look like one of the few DSL players currently making money and cheap relative to the other DSL's. In fact, after seeing what AMTX went for, ORCTF looks like an absolute steal. I still have my IOM although I have considered taking profits. The fundamentals continue to be excellent and Q4 will be a blowout but the stock might get ahead of itself. On the smaller cap riskier side, I like RGFX which is trading at low multiples relative to its financials. I think the wide format printing industry has a lot of potential and RGFX has been beaten down beyond reason for missing estimates by a couples cents and for saying growth appears to be "moderating somewhat" (keeping in mind that previous growth had been 45%+). I started raising a high percentage of cash about a month before the "crash" and I still have a considerable cash position. I managed to get out of the DD's before the big drop. I got very lucky selling most of my position at 36 on the way up and the remainder at 54. I also bailed out of APM at 26 with a slight profit. I always said that the DD's are like playing with dynamite in a mine filed. I feel like I got out of Saigon on the last chopper. Anyway, with a rather large proportion in cash I am currently shopping. Might add to CREAF while I wait for general tech stock climate to improve. Do you have any other ideas?? Good luck, FF
