Bill, I know you have the loyalty of a tsetse fly when
it comes to sticking to forecasts<g> but I've always
been a position trader, unable or unwilling to trade
my portfolio around too often unless I'm convinced the
situation warrants it. Right now I just can't shake off
the conservatism or skepticism on economic/earnings outlook.
While I don't want to bore you, Bill, with FA and facts, <g> I
thought I'd repost some thoughts here for discussion for
some of the other Threaders. FWIW.

BTW, I was bearish throughout '87, holding T-bills only. The
current situation requires the same conservatism now IMHO.
I've been basically long this market from '92 till Oct.'97
but do not like existing risk/reward relationship for equities.
