Andy,

Look at ASND today, rumors on takeover big retail volume (check thread). A lot of individuals follow ASND and jumped on the stock.
The chart gives the impression of significant upside. ALTR is not so well followed perhaps and numbers are more important to institutional buyers using our mutual funds monies (thank goodness).

These chip stocks are not especially exciting.

since altr is not really a stock bought by individuals, a recovery will take a bit longer. i don't think it's attractive to the contrarian funds, so we just have to wait for someone somewhere to upgrade it or say that they are buying it, and watch all the institutionals start getting back into their positions. sell low, buy high: the life of a fund manager.
