Hi tejek; Re: "It is not gov't propaganda; its a serious problem. Don't believe at your own peril."

LOL,

Colony collapse disorder is about honeybees dying. Consumers do not buy honeybees. They buy things that honeybees sometimes pollinate. The most sensitive thing is almonds. And honeybees make honey. So how has colony collapse disorder effected production of almonds and honey???

-------------------------------------

Colony Collapse Disorder was named back in 2006. It's now been 7 years. So we can look at production and prices of almonds and honey since a few years before 2006 up to now. Here's how almond production has been since before CCD up to now:

nass.usda.gov

From the same source, here's production of almonds, per acre. We're currently setting new records:
California almond yield, per acre:
1995 885
1996 1190
1997 1720
1998 1130
1999 1720
2000 1380
2001 1570
2002 2000
2003 1890
2004 1760
2005 1550
2006 1840
2007 2170
2008 2400
2009 1960
2010 2220
2012 2670
2013 2560

And the price of almonds is lower now than it was 7 years ago. There has been *zero* effect on consumers. Absolutely zero.

Honey production hasn't been effected:

ers.usda.gov

So the only reason you say that colony collapse disorder is a "serious problem" that you should ignore "at your own peril" is because of what the government says. It's been going on for 7 years with absolutely no consequence to consumers.
