And exactly what do you think democracy is dude? Without enforced constitutional restraints on the powers of government, democracy is simply majority (i.e. mob) rule, with whomever's gang happens to be in power laying down the rules. A constitutional republic and a democracy are two different animals. The USA began as the former, but the out of control, federal leviathan has evolved far beyond the original framework..
