Bear shark, intersting story! the learning for me is that one should be carefull particularly if one has done very well in the past. I logged in 35%+ in 96 and 45%+ so far in 97 why risk it? IMO reducing equity exposure in this environment is a wise idea.

PS: but you see greed and fear all over again! people think what about if the market goes up 30% in 98 and I miss all the action? well IMO the risk of it going down is a bit greater than of it going up [I may be mistaken! but at this point I rather miss some of the upside as I would also miss some of the dowsside if BK hits!
