No one has ever talked about communism. We talk about democratic socialism: i.e. like public roads and public schools and the agencies that protect our food. Do you want to do away with those things. Not inspect the food? Have no rules and regulations for cities? Do you want to do away with the police and fire departments, emergency medical services, ambulances, emergency rooms? All of the above things are socialist. And I would remind you Reagan had alzheimer's disease. And his budget deficits were 5 times what Carters were. He ran the budget deficit up from 50 billion a year to 250 billion a year and his chief of staff said deficits didn't matter. That was Cheney by the way who doubled our deficit under bush from 5 trilliion to 10 trillion.
