My cracked crystal ball says that LTE-Advanced isn't going to roll out through the carriers nearly as fast as LTE. That's an overly subjective opinion there ;-) The upgrade is similar to that from EvDO Rev 0 to Rev A, so I suspect it might take place at a similar pace. The speed jump certainly doesn't matter much to all, especially with how common data caps and pay--per-GB plans are, but there's still a significant percentage of the user base who clamor for it (including me). Whomever gives the option first will secure a lot of those people.
