LK, Tod is using a hedge made up of long RDRT and short APM. You suggested this possibility yourself in one of your earlier posts (after I said that APM's outlook was poor, and you mentioned APM as a possible short).

<< But you noticed that WDC has now extended the Tucson below just 6.4. When did this happen??? >>

WDC's original PR mentioned that they would ship 1,2 and 3 platter 2.1s.. If you look on their website, you can find the specs which show they are the 2.1(access etc) I expected the 2.1, 4.3, 6.4, but not the 3.2(it's a 2 platter 3 head DD). WDC lists these lower cap Tuscon DDs as products, but I haven't seen them in the dist channel yet. It sounds to me like the MR products are getting to the point where they are cheaper than the TFI. You won't see anything but a 2.1 head WDC by the JuneQ IMO.

RDRT does supply the 1.3head to WDC. That is why they are having to take charges because it is being ramped down faster than originally expected. In the near term(1 to 2 Qs) all of this WDC mess doesn't help RDRT. Beyond that, it makes them look like super stars.

Seriously, call Steve Polcyn at RDRT IR.
