Stephan,

First of all the Trimble 4800 link.

trimble.com

Other comments..

>>NoVatel: Not clear today, depends on results of tests, probably between 35 to 50
(stations) with three receivers each.>>

Just remember that WAAS is a special contract, not likely to be repeated very often.

>>Cirrus Design makes a small plane for recreational flyers.>>

The point was that Trimble is actually getting a platform to show their full avionics package. Avionics products demand high reliability and command a much higher price, the kinds of markets where Trimble has an edge.

>>I am not suggesting that there won't be new entrants, in fact that is probably what is limiting the sales for now. Companies like to have the choice of suppliers and they like to be able to evaluate different systems etc... The day another manufacturer is certified for SLS (Satellite landing Systems) is the day these stocks will take off, the market
having been confirmed for the Wall Street Gurus. It will not take as long as it took PN either to gain certification since the guidelines are now established.>>

PN is such a small company right now that even a small share of the future market can mean a lot to the company and to its stock. But the risk is, Honeywell saying they have a new partner - say Trimble or Rockwell or Raytheon or Canadian Marconi. After all Honeywell has changed partners before. Then its is a slam dunk for PN. PN is a bulletin board stock with very little news or analysis available on it. I find it risky to bet all on that one stock. If you are building a GPS portfolio then it is worth having as a small portion.

Stephen, stay on the thread. Your comments were helpful and the discussion on Novatel and PN is relevant to this thread.
