Semi's should do good.. There is not much slow down in sight although it wont be as block buster as it would have been without all the finiancial crisis. The thing to look is, semi's are very capital intensive and takes years to plan and set up. Short term bad karma has to be the devil himself for those plans to change or the companies will be in deep kaakaa.. After all no one wants to be stuck with $6 drams with they have to sell them for $4 while micron can actually make a profit selling it at $4. But no matter what, if I had an ira type 5-10 year outlook, all my stocks in it would be intc/amat/cymi/klic/klac/lrcx and nothing else. Oh yea APM with the NMR and GGMR etc would also be present.. 1 share and 1 share only..
