Your older brother was probably a lot larger and stronger than you, but that position is very easy to escape from.....ask any high school wrestler.... Wrestler's are taught to stay back on the body so the person on the bottom has no leverage and can't spin out.

"How is it that you think that Zimmerman's nose got broken?

How is it that you think that he got the lacerations on the back of his head?"

According to the MA, the single shot to the nose was enough to cause all the wounds since it knocked Z onto his back and caused him to hit his head on the concrete...

Zim doesn't have to prove why he fired that shot and why he was following....the jury is not stupid.

And remember, Zimmerman doesn't have to prove anything.

reasonable doubt.....
reasonable doubt.....
reasonable doubt.....
reasonable doubt.....

As is so often the case, this is going to come down to "burden of proof". Once Zim introduced evidence of his self-defense claim, which there was quite a bit of I think, the burden of proof is on the prosecution to show, beyond a reasonable doubt, that it was NOT self defense. At least that is my understanding.

That is a very tough burden to meet under any circumstances. But there was quite a bit of evidence that it WAS self defense.

Given that standard, I cannot imagine how he'll be convicted. He may well spend years defending himself in a civil action; but there is no way he should be convicted in this criminal trial.

Look out how quickly the ref stops the fight here for fighter safety. This is with gloves on.
