...was check out the DV (firewire port) and, $%@#, it was mangled. What a disappointment. I'm still pretty happy with the Elgato device using RCA cables. I'm pretty efficient at it now. Can even edit on the fly. They're not going to win any awards for the cuts and dissolves, but it's good enough for my intentions. I'm getting to the point where I can see an end in sight to the tape transferring. There's about 12 tapes of weddings that I once thought I edit but have decided to just give the tapes to the couples and let them take the tapes to Costco or somewhere else to get them transferred.
