Data on SDRAM vs EDO ......so far
SDRAM EDO DIFF
Oct 1997 90 72 18
Nov 1997 78 60 18
Dec 1997 78 60 18

My guess is that Micron will produce more then 50%
SDRAM in the next quarter. There seems to be an
$18 diff, but rate of drops about the same.

ph and all
This brings up a problem I am having and others may be having too.
I have a P133 with a 28.8 modem bought from Micron in Nov 1995.
............................................................
This current PC works fine on Internet and HAL program.
It is a little slow on Excel.
............................................................
The P166 MMX with "EDO" and 56 modem sells under $1,000 and
would do every thing I want out of a home computer.
...........................................................
Yet, the engineer in me keeps trying to buy a P II with 64Mb
of SDRAM...........for $2,500 from Micron.
...........................................................
Now here is my problem....What do I get out of the extra
$1,500 and for the life of me, I can not figure out what
I would do on the PII that I can not do on the P166 with MMX
..........................................................
Is the "industry" having the same problem as me ????
Have computers just gone too far ?
And how does this all relate to future sales of EDO and SDRAM ???
