Look at it from their point of view. This case shows why easily acquired concealed carry and/or stand your ground laws are a bad idea. If Zimmerman wasn't packing heat, he almost certainly would have stayed in his SUV. As he should have anyway. Unfortunately, all too much of the legislation that is promoted by the Right is ill-thought out, poorly written and actively harmful. And they can never man up to making a mistake.
