Everyone who is objective seems to feel it is a none problem; but that is really not the right question.

The right question is what is the intent? And it is clear the way so many states approached it and admission by various people that that is the intent.

But even worse it seems to be a sort of "in your face" attitude. Texas passed tough voter registration laws only two hours after the SC striking down provisions in the voting rights act. It is like they could wait to get to it.

So it is useless to argues the issue as I feel everyone on both sides know what is going on.

It is part of the extreme right wing pubs war on many fronts, E.G.:

The war on women: shutting down planned parenthood and women's services centers, and abortion clinics, across the country and the many many new state bills and laws across the country to limit abortions by all sorts of things like invasive ultra sound requirements, etc.

We know what the intent is. It is to stop abortions, not help women.

Or the stripping of the food stamps from the farm bill, while piling on the pork for big agriculture.

Or the war against gays.

Allowing student loan rates to double.

Immigration debate. It was OK for Reagan to give amnesty to millions, but god forbid the dems do it.

All of these things together shows a new philosophy that is interpreted by minorities, women, gays and kids as wars on all these groups.

In the end though, it will be the end of the Republican party as we know it. They have alienated everyone except old white guys.
