Dear Robert,
I rejoice to hear you say you love Israel but don't understand the connection with that love and the compromise of the gospel. The great commission also states to go to the Jerusalem and Judea and the furthest points of the earth. This I believe is to show the love of Messiah to Jerusalem but the terms anti-christ or Talmudic Judaism(used in a derogatory way) is not a very strong witness to any Jews who might be viewing your thread. I in no way have encouraged the belief that salvation is of anyone other than Messiah all I am stating is that there is a plan and some of them (Jews) are being hardened during the time of the Gentiles and I do believe all believers should follow Pauls example of going to the Synagogue first when he entered a town. If there was no interest in the blood of these people why would he continue. In 70AD the Mosaic Covenant was rendered inoperative until a future text in Zechariah when the sacrificial system will be reinstated. The Lord will reign in Zion when He returns why not in America or Africa etc...Paul further encourages Timothy in his Jewishness even making sure he was circumcised. Why would he have mentioned his mother and grandmother being Jews and in the faith, wouldn't he have called them Christians? God is not a respecter of persons but He does have a plan and the Jews were and are a part of this plan. I witness and encourage everyone (Gentile or Jew)I meet or know in the Lord and am diligent as scripture requires in Psalms to pray for the peace of Jerusalem ( or is that dead also) I never know what parts of the Old Testament are kept and which ones are thrown out. Obviously Deuteronomy 28 is still valid but Zechariah or anything positive about Israel is carefully questioned. Hopefully you read Psalms and Proverbs. What about the 10 commandments do we pick and choose. Matthew 5:17-19 states the value of the Law.And anyone who breaks the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven.Clearly the Law does not make us righteous only Messiah can do that but I sure would not say that the commandments and law of God are dead. Even the New Covenant says that He will put His LAW in their mind and write them on their hearts.
You know that the Nazis were convinced that they were pleasing God by killing these people including the children. From my studies this started in a similar way to the things that Alan and I are saying is dangerous. A little yeast works through the whole lump so I want to encourage my brothers and sisters in the Lord again to not accept that God has forsaken His covenant people and that He will not forsake anyone who loves Him(Never will I leave you nor forsake you. originally an Old Testament verse). In my quiet times I do seriously consider everything my brothers and sisters say and I want to request that you also ask God to totally circumcise your heart in regards to His relationship with Israel. If this is not necessary you have nothing to lose but if it is you could be set free from a bondage you may not even be aware of. With love in Messiah, Nancy
