I'm not sure what you're asking, but my point is that perhaps fiber sales are slowing because "all of a sudden" there is not the bandwidth constraint that existed up until CIEN came along. Existing fiber was being constrained but CIENA's technology (and others) immediately increases capacity (up to) 16x and several firms are working on the next jump (40+x). And a positive for many firms is that you can increase capacity incrementally, say start with 4x and build up to 16x when you need it (and of course, the next generation will be ready by then). So I wonder if CIENA (and others) are the reason firms such as Corning are reporting slower growth in fiber cable sales.
