Hi Jenna, Didn't know you were gone, but glad you are back. I have finals this week and plan to visit and post more often until I go back on Jan. 20. I missed reading these notes and chatting on #rtrader and would have been devistated to come back and not have you here. Lost everything on ASND Options back in Oct. and am now trying to recover from that.
I would like to thank all the Vets on this day. My father was in Hawaii after Pearl Harbor and would like to return someday. I was hoping to earn enough money from trading stocks to send my parents there on their 50th wedding anniversary; I have two years left to do it.
Happy Trading,
Rustyle

Jenna, picks as per your request, 12/06/97

The prices in parenthesis would be excellent buying points if they hit. All stocks below show positive growth potential for the short and long term. Thus profits can be maximized if the market does dip, to test the reccomended buy price.

Stocks with positive breakouts:

DG (36 1/2), MBLE (37 3/4) Joe Copia comment please..one of your customers?? MDI strictly a speculation cant find FA..TA looks great, IRT (11 3/8) below LSQ,+stoch., +mom, ANIC (16) below LSQ, +stoch, +mom, DMMC (14 3/4) below LSQ, +stoch. and just popped 50 MA, OSSI short term pop to 30 (and I love the restuarant they are packed .. Outback Steakhouse) watch the following for a small dip buy on the dip..ready to move; AWIN (19 3/4) below LSQ, stoch (n), AMES (18) ditto of AWIN, CPU (35 1/4) maybe tues/wed movement... TCB (30) great mom, buy when interest rate hike speculation fades!

Hot off the press: JKHY (26 1/4) +macd upper BB upgrade by Dains Bosworth..may try to test 30, CXC (23 3/8) +volitility upper BB, and GRST (9 1/8) earnings due out..have suprised the last several quarters! TA looks great!

Value investing (stocks beaten down or below lsq line):

WND just dipping great buy opportunity. CU (30 3/4) +mom., +macd + volitilty, CAV (9 3/4) +mom., +macd, + volatilty. SYNC (15) +stoch., +macd, mom (n) company is a supplier to oil industry and chemicals in overall postive trend. PPH (16) upgrade by ML earnings due the 10th, LUV (23 1/2) old favorite just moved above 50 ma, and +stoch. MRY (22 3/4)this is a REIT, coverage picked up by ML doing everything right so far.

Undervalued Growth stocks:

DATM (13) TEVIY, VRC -- oil service sector, MONE wait until the 9th goes to NYSE symbol to be MON, CLE watch closely rescinded stock buyback of 1m shares after purchase .3M shares...??? something is up.

Stocks common to reports: These are stocks that show up on my searches and have multiple listings under different search criteria. All selections are looked at via TA for entry points. They may be viewed as excellent long term holds.

CU, LOW, SYNC, EDS

Jenna, with this search, more stocks from the following areas are becoming evident; financials, oil services, utilties, and retailers, and now real estate trusts. With L.T. interest rates testing 6.00% they are excellent opportunities to consider. Along that same thought so are financials, buy on the dips when the talk fades of an impending rate hike...aint gonna happen. This list is indicative of that trend.

And on a personal note, I am so glad that you may reconsider your decision to leave this thread. The top caliber of the vast majority of postings is a testiment to your abilities as well. I look forward to your comments and insight as always.

Oh man you are back!
There goes my scheme to make this into a whole male tooth picking grouchy thread that talks about 'deh gould ole dayz'.
That reminds me, ever hear about the sheep that lost its wool?
or was it the gorilla that lost his banana..
no wait it was the

BTW semicon or some new con job in japan started on the 5th.. wonder if the semi's got their boost from that.. going on for a few more days as well.. Oh next week or so NSM/MU etc comming out with earnings.. Its worth watching since if they do good then the entire tech sector will rock me amadeus ops sorry get distracted easily in my age..

INTC/TXN should be excellent picks now to add to positions..

Jenna,

I noted with interest your post on SSAX. How does a company come out with a great quarter and drop like a rock? I just checked and it is at $11.(Which I think is a good entrance point) The same thing happened with CPQ. It bottomed at 59. Does anyone have an answere as to why this happens?
