I think he was right but executed it poorly, no way Iran was
going to negotiate with Carter, and Reagan was never going
to nuke Iran either....

A major turning point it was and as we see it play out, who
is winning, from where I sit the Arabs aren't playing the

Carter is a nice guy. One of the few that ever made it to the oval office. And sure he was a sheep amongst wolves, but I don't fault him for that. I would rather put the fault on the wolves.

Mostly we put wolves into office in a vain hope that they will fight for us sheep against the other wolves around the world, but somehow that never works out. Instead some of the wolves get together and plan a feast...

Are you saying that he should have bombed the Arabs because the price of their oil was not in the US's interests? ...like other presidents have essentially done?

If so I disagree, we should have take the opportunity presented by the high prices to become energy independent...
