Conservatives are all about acquiring power and keeping it. Look at the primary rationale behind those Republicans pushing for immigration reform. It isn't about what is good for the country, but about winning elections.Pretty much everything the Republicans do is about that.

this is the exact opposite of what conservatives are all about. Conservatives want to make the government LESS powerful. Keeerist, why do you find it necessary to fabricate this bullshit?

This is pure bullshit and you know it.

Everyone knows that "immigration reform" is a HUGE vote grab for the Democrats. The only Republicans who support it are those who fear losing the fastest growing voter bloc, i.e. Latinos, to the Democrats.

There is nothing good about this for the country, because it essentially nullifies existing immigration laws and rewards those who broke the rules and cut in line.

There are no sound principles behind that unless you believe in open borders, which even many supporters of "immigration reform" do not believe in.
